Over the years, I’ve gone from last-minute planning to more advanced planning with my music therapy sessions. By planning general themes ahead of time, I can:

  1. Ask older adults what songs they relate to a topic so I can include them.
  2. Set aside time to learn a new song or two in my schedule.
  3. Feel a little less frantic as I prepare for my week.
