The amazing letter “A” is fun to explore with children. Here are four songs, a singable book, and instrument exploration that received a thumbs-up from preschoolers at a recent library session.
Amazing letter A songs
- The Ants Go Marching
- I’m a Little Airplane from Everything Preschool
- I’m an Acorn/I’m a Nut
- A-T At (Tune – Bingo) I had the letters and matching images for each word we created.
There’s a word that starts with “a” we hear a lot. A-T at (4x).
“B” says bah. Let’s add it to at. bah-at, bah -at, bah-at. B-A-T spells bat
Use the same pattern with: C (cat), H (hat), M (mat), P (pat), and S (sat).
An Amazing Letter “A” Singable Book
“The Lady with the Alligator Purse” adapted and illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott is a fun book to read. Singing it adds a more structure to the book.
