Dance a modified “Tarantella”. (Consider singing your spider songs when talking about the tarantella.) Moving in new and different ways can be a fun way to get the blood flowing. There is an instructional video:


Pick out a few Italian dishes and plan an ethnic meal. You can go so far as to play Italian songs or opera to help set the tone for the meal. The meal can be a learning experience for all and the stuff of fun memories.


Have you every thought about what it took to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel? Here’s an interesting experience for children (and yourself). While I’m not one for painting in my eye, try posting paper on the underside of a table and drawing with markers.
