SummerSoon the summer solstice will bring summer officially start summer for the northern hemisphere. Sounds of summer are filling our neighborhood – children riding bikes, playing ball, splashes at the pool.

Songs about summer fill mind. The 2000 Borders CD “Summer Fun” is one of my favorites of the season. It has classics including:

Paddling into SummerAs a teen, I learned to canoe at Girl Scout Camp. It was a relaxing, social yet quiet way to take in the world. It so happens  Canoe Day is June 26th. A few paddling songs are:
